People laughing together at an event

About

Built for the people building.

Tech Ember Fest is an outdoor day in Lagos where the tech ecosystem shows its work, meets itself, and then has a good time.

Why Tech Ember Fest exists

Most tech events put people in rows and point them at a stage. We wanted the opposite: a day where the people building things are the main event.

The first edition started as [one line on how it began] and drew far more people than planned. This year is the second edition, rebuilt around three ideas: Build, Connect, Play.

What we believe

The four ideas behind how the day is put together.

What we believe

Build in public

Bring what you made, finished or not. Showing work is how people find you.

What we believe

Real connections

Fewer panels, more people. The day is designed around meeting each other.

What we believe

Community first

Communities aren't a promo channel here. They're the centre of the event.

What we believe

Then play

Tech people deserve a good time too. Games, food, music, the party.

The team

The people putting Tech Ember Fest together. Want to help? Volunteer with us.
